If I go with my actual canon, Kaidan (or Ash) is the only one left. So yeah, I'd rather stick with alternate universes.

Originally I didn't plan on putting Ashley here, but added her to emphasize that it's not about loosing Shepard, but about Kaidan outliving both his friends, left all alone.
